DIY Drain Clogs: Best Methods You Need To Know

If you’re having a hard time fixing your clogged drains at home, there are some steps you can take to stop all those inconveniences by yourself.

First process is called the technique of hot water. You will remove the debris for clogs in the middle of a drain opening by pouring hot water down the pipe. When a pot of water is boiling, remove as much standing water from the tub as possible. Then dump the whole water pot into the shower, and wait.

Second method is to use a plunger. What you need to do is fill your tub or sink with a bit of water, then place the plunger over the opening of the drain, ensuring the surface is flush with the rubber lip.

To dislodge the clog in the pipe, use a quick up-and-down motion to create pressure and suction. Once the clog has been removed, water runs down the drain smoothly and through the pipes. Stubborn clogs may need to be dipped several times more.
